I recently planted three white azaleas at the side of the house. They are all three in a row. The center one has new growth and doing well, but the one on either side appear to be losing life quickly and the leaves have all turned. I am lost as far as what could have happened. They all receive and equal amount of light and water.
Could it be just shock from planting?

Did you make sure the roots were loose and not strangling themselves when you planted them? If they sit in a pot at the growers for too long they have no where to grow but around and around the pot and that strangles the plant.

Thanks Toni, I did loosen the roots, they where pretty bound, but where all the same. I think they have a guarantee, but I am not sure if I should just wait a bit and see if they come back.

Thought I'd add, make sure they aren't planted to deep either. You want the soil line even in the pot to be the same level as the ground. At least you have a guarantee with them. Hope they recover for you.

Thank you Trudy. Home Depot said they would replace/return them if they didn't spring back. The middle one is still doing well, so I don't think it is the soil.

Thanks for the tips all, they bit the dust and have been replaced by shrubs I can count on!
