HI group, I love morning glories, and moon flowers. They are easy to grow and so very beautiful. But I do have a few questions in regards to where I can plant them this year. I moved into a new home, and I want to plant them in the front part of the house. But that faces pretty much west. So it doesn't get much sun till late in the afternoon. Would my Morning glories not be able to handle that little of sun? Other wise it is going to have to be on the side of the house, and I don't get to see that part much. Also I live in Northern KY up near Cincinnati OH. And I would like to know when is a good time to plant these flowers and I also want to plant some Cabbage, Tomatos, and Watermelon. When is a good time to plant them? I know it says last chance of frost, but I don't know when the last frost is past in my area. I have already started them in my house, and they are getting big. So I hope I can plant them soon. LOL

Full sun, which most plants need, means at least 6 hours of sun a day. If the spot at the front of your house gets that then the Morning Glories should be just fine.

The Moonflower Vine requires Partial to Full Sun so the front of you house will be good for it too.
Moonflower seeds need very warm soil to germinate and grow so they can't be planted in the ground for at least another month maybe even two considering how far north you are.

Since your seedlings are getting big now you can repot them into larger pots as they grow until it is safe to put them in the ground.

From the NOAA map I found, the average last date of freeze for your area is anywhere from April 5th to May 5th, depending on your altitude. You can call a local Garden Center or the Ag department of a local college to get a more accurate idea of the date for you immediate area.
