This is the time of year where I start making space in the freezer because I'm usually convinced that we didn't suddenly go into an ice age, summer will return and I'll be able to stockpile this year's berries for my winter enjoyment.

I drink these for breakfast, it gets my rock and roll hat on. Smile

A big handfull of blackberries (frozen or fresh)
1 sliced banana
1/4 cup soymilk or plain yogurt
1 scoop of vanilla-flavored protein powder
1/2 cup of water

I blend this all together (those hand-held blenders are aces!), adding more water if needed. It's super healthy and crazy good, kids even dig it. It is absolutely necessary that it be called "Ultra", it earned the name... and optional to drink out of a pint glass, although everything tastes better from one.

Smile

YUMMY!

I add vitamin and flax seed oil into a shake I make that is similar to yours.
