Well Eileen, thing is, I have had the mumma plant since I was a nipper, so probably...eek..25 years! It has moved house with me more times than I care to remember, but finally seems to be happy, and this was the reward!

Well 25 years is a looooooong wait but there again I wonder how many people can actually say that they grow their own bananas!!!! Very Happy

Don't think I'll try it myself though as I'd be 80 before I got the chance of any fruit!!! Laughing Laughing

Ooooh, that banana looks really good. Congrats on getting it to the eating stage.

Never thought I wanted to try growing them, think I will stick with either the natives or well adapted plants so I can be lazy when I want to be.
