Those tulips that I thought were going to be yellow turned out to be orange. I really like them.
dr found our first iris this morning. They were white ones. Soon we will have some purple ones, too.
This little sparrow is building a nest. We have quite a few of them in the yard.
Than, a picture of my good helper. I was trying hard to get a picture of a black and yellow oriole this morning but Chance was standing guard and chased it away each time. We have some very small hummingbirds, too and she doesn't think they belong either.

Your flowers are beautiful and so is your 'guard dog'.

Mmm, love your tulips, Iris and the helper, but I can't tell which I like the best.

Dooley those orange tulips are simply beautiful and so are your white iris. I was only thinking the other day that I'd like some orange in my garden. I must look out for some orange tulips so that they'll flower for me next spring.
Chance is definately on the alert for intruders but it's a shame she chased off the oriel.

You have some VERRRY lovely flowers there, Dooley. I like the orange tulips especially.
I am hoopping that ole Chance will give you the opportunity to make some birdie fotos again. Those orioles are something special to see.
I thank you for this series of fotos.

dr says tomorrow I should put Chance in the big backyard and shut the gate so she can't chase the birds when I want to take their picture. Orioles are hard to get a picture of anyway. They inch up on the feeders and take off at the least movement. Last year we had the yellow and black pair and an orange pair. I haven't seen the orange ones yet. Do you think this is the same pair as we had last year? dooley

Your Tulips are gorgeous Dooley! My dog chases birds away too, but I've been keeping her tied up lately.

Your orange tulips are "yummy" looking, so fresh and springy. I know I've told you before but I can't help it, Chance is the cutest darn dog. Wish I could meet her.

I don't think I've ever seen an orange tulip. Now I have-thanks for showing it off. Chance is sooo cute. I think he knows his duty is to guard.

Great to see some color somewhere. It took me awhile to bring orange into my garden and now it's one of my favorite colors in my perennial beds. I love it next to purples and yellows. Chance looks like a mix of several breeds (beagle? bassett?)...looks like he has a pretty comfy perch with a great view.

Chance is half Welsh Corgi and half Springer Spaniel. She has little short legs and a short tail. Her ears do not stick up like a corgi, but hang down like a spaniel. She is sitting on her "deck". I took three pallets and stacked them and put a flat top on it and put her blankets on it. It brings her up high enough to see over the armor plated fence. dr skunked proofed her fence after she tangles with a skunk on the other side of it one night. Thanks for the comments. I like the orange tulips, too. dooley
