As I was on my way to take Gavin to daycare, I looked up into the tree next to the driveway and here's what I saw...

Isn't he cute...

He/she is a cutie.
We have one of those running around the neighborhood at night. I find little divots dug in my yard most mornings where he/she has been digging for grubs and whatever.

I take it that the critter in your piccies is a possum. I don't see many of them around here - well I am from Scotland after all. Laughing Laughing Great shots!! Mr. Green

We suddenly have lots of Possum here in southern Ontario! I have not seen a living one yet (usually seen as road kill- are they nocturnal?) and wondered what they eat.

Sorry, I forgot that many of the members wouldn't know what the critter is. Another one of those things that we don't think about as being uncommon other places.

What a cute little guy! Yours seem a bit fluffier than ours, maybe it's just his winter coat. We've got a bunch out behind us living in the orchards and little wooded areas, but unfortunately it's on a very narrow road with no lights and a speed limit of 55 mph. Sad

I think they are kind of cute but a lot of people don't like them. They eat my sister-in-laws cat and dog food! I guess they can be pretty mean too.

Sherry I see a lot of them on the side of the road as well, especially here in the country. Their hands are tiny and remind me of human hands. They sure get into everything they shouldn't and dig holes like Toni said.

I grew up on a small kind of farm in Louisiana. Possums are notorious for killing chickens which we had plenty of. It wouldn't be that bad except they will come in to a coop and kill all the chickens on the roost only to eat a bite here and a bite there on each one of them. They also eat eggs and we were told when I was young that they can carry some form of leprosy. Until next time. Lavender Up!

Actually it is the Armadillo that carries the bacterium that causes Leprosy and it is because of them there is now a vaccination to protect humans against the disease.

I did not know people in New York used the word "critter". Cool! I must say, though, that this entity in the tree is not a critter, but a varmint.
