I'm of course talking about the early spring flowers.
Pulsatilla buds:
Primula, double ones are starting:
One that used to live indoors, but does fine outside:
The Corydalis are looking better now:
The little Soldanella:
And a tiny Astilbe. Somebody's helped themselves, it shows very well in this photo:
I had a helper too. He's pruning the heather, but I asked him to stop because it's not done blooming yet:
The tall, green Helleborus corsicus is also blooming, but I moved it last year and it's still sulking:

It's so exciting to watch the spring flowers emerge, isn't it?
Your Corydalis look so lovely,
I've tried to grow it here, but it doesn't prosper for me,
perhaps it just doesn't get the proper winter chill here.

Thank you Zuzu. They do well here. The dark one has self-seeded and suddenly bloomed near a prickly wintergreen. We only had red ones at the time, so that's mother and child on the photos. We've got white, pale pink, yellow and blue ones too. The blue is my favourite because it smells heavenly. I won't see those until June or July though.

Your helper is the same color as my helper and I bet he chases the birds away, too. I'm glad you are getting some spring blooms. A little color does wonders for your winter or spring time blahs. dooley

Thank you. Dooley, he does more than chase them. I found his stash underneath a hedge bush. Four blackbirds! And that was during the last snowfall over Easter.

Oh Droopy...you must be in 7th heaven. What an array of colour and what an interesting variety of plants you have blooming at the moment. I don't know where to begin. It's just one lovely plant after the other.
I can indeed see the traces of theft at the edge of your astilbe clump. Isn't that just infuriating!
Oh well, perhaps what you were left with will still make a proud showing in another month or so. Fingers crossed.
I must be abourt two weeks ahead of you on the Pulsatilla's, but you have me beaten hands down on the rest. What colours do you have of the Pulsatilla?
They are nice, aren't they?
That's the best-looking sulker I've ever seen.

Thanks all. I'm full of hope now, because I see flowers budding all over in the garden. Netty, I'm waiting for the yellow ones, and the pink ones too. Biita, I guess your spring will land with a thump one day in the near future and you'll forget about winter.
Sjoerd, that hellebore usually has big clumps of green flowers, so only one or two is definately a sign of sulking.

Thanks Toni. I'm waiting for more Primula, the spring Phlox, Sanguinaria canadense, the trilliums, some rhododendron, more spring flowering bulbs, Erythronium, Saxifraga and probably more besides, but I can't quite remember. Oh, the Brunnera, of course, and lily-of-the-valley, and lots of Anemone and a Hepatica.

Wow, we can look forward to quite a show of spring color from your yard. Most of those plants I have never heard of, unless they have a common name I am familiar with, but I think it is probably because of the difference in climate between Norway and Texas
