So like I said in my intro post, I bought a rose bush plant the other day. Here is a pic of it as well as my back yard. Nothing too fancy. =]
This is the "garden" out back, I think it's dumb- what they did (before we moved in) was put half the garden under the deck. It's hard to weed, but we actually got a longer set of garden tools which, that helped a lot when planting this the other day!
And there it is, my beloved rose bush plant.
I'll keep posting pictures as it grows and stuff. I can't wait! Yay! =D

Brittany isn't it wonderful when you get a plant you've always wanted? Your rose looks as though it's going to do well in your garden. I look forward to seeing more piccies of it as it grows and flowers.

Haha thanks for takin' a gander, guys!
Strats- I think I'm already addicted! my poor mother keeps hearing me talk about the roses I'll have! and my friends...my best friends are guys and they've put up with me talking about it almost aaaallll day! Haha. Thank God for close friends and family though!
Thanks Eileen! That's about 3/4's of the reason why I'm so excited to grow these babies- and I can't wait to get more! I saw soo many pictures online of these crazy cool gardens with a bunch of roses. Man, it's good to dream but I hope this won't remain a dream! Haha. =]
BTW- How long do you think this baby will take to grow taller and grow some flowers? Will it be ready by September (it's April here, right now.) or what? I'm afraid I'll have to prune it before the buds have blossomed. =[
Thanks for your help!

I don't think you'll have to prune it since it's so new. Hopefully someone with more rose growing experience can help you out on this one

It looks already pruned to me, but I don't like the look of the little twig in the middle. When my roses look like that, I cut it just over the first living bud on the damaged twig or branch.
