I took these pics tonight at 10:00pm or 23:00 tonight, this is as dark as it gets now! Its cloudy so no full moon for us here. Remember when I only hoped to have this much light during the day,,,lol. Well looking out the window at the Beast (mountain) I spotted a man in the mountain created by the snow and all the nooks and crannys that come with a mountain. Can you see him, his eyes, his nose, full beard. Think Viking! or what you would think an old viking would look like!

I'll start with a small pic of it, and work up to a close up.

See him?

I spotted it in the first picture but wasn't completely sure until I got to the closeup. I love finding surprises like that in nature.

That's spectacular, very Viking. I couldn't help but start singing Man on the Silver Mountain" by Dio to myself though.

lol,, Lexxi,, i did the same thing! I was outside and just singing my heart out. It was Ritchie Blackmore who made Man on the Silver Mountain,, he was with Dio at one time. Went solo.

Kasey, There is 2 straight lines at the top of the mountain, under that is and "eye" then the nose and the other eye is kind of half shown, more of a half closed eye. Then there is the full beard below the nose. Once you see it, it hits you,,lol.

During the sommer months, when its all green it looks like a giant troll.

Biita: Just you knowing that Blackmore went solo from Deep Purple and created Rainbow is enough to see that you are RAD (way cooler than the 3 letter adjective you used ending with "d")! Now, I've never actually heard if Dio wrote the lyrics he sang with Rainbow, or if Blackmore did (and I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case).
You'd be surprised how few people keep track beyond top 10 stuff. I've played Stooges tunes (1st album released in '69) in our cover band and people think it's brand new. The worst was a few weeks ago when we played How Many More Times off Led 1 and some guy came up and said "I wanna hear some classics! Do you know any Def Leppard? Pour some sugar on me?" And he was SERIOUS.

Actually your viking in the mountain is missing an eye, so it's gotta be Odin Allfather.

Thank you Droopy,, i wanted to put that, but put the word Viking in instead because i didn't know if i could say that! lol. So thank you for saying it for me,,,

Lexxi, thank you for the compliment from one hard core rocker to another! I think but not sure, but i think Blackmore wrote the song and had Dio as a guest to sing, in a way to promote the new band. Def Lep is too bubble gum for me. When i went to America as a child, and later in my teens my first concert was Humble Pie and the opening act was Deep Purple! Broke me in real good! If you have never listened to Humble Pie, they are bluesy but rockers... great stuff. They're on youtube. start with 30 Days in the Hole, that will break you in then go to Black Coffee. You'll be hooked! Zep is one of my fav bands of all time, great memories there,,lol. Cream, Traffic, Blind Faith, mostly all the same guys, but awesome music. I could go on and on,,,, but we were talking about "The Man in the Silver Mountain",,,lol. (in the pic ofcourse, --looking for monitors--)
