Inbetween raindrops and sun, I went out hunting my garden,, I found it but couldn't get there,,lol. So I went to the sea, and thought those of you who are sweating and playing in the dirt with glee, could use a cool down!

The fjørd is starting to finally crack up on this end of the water.

Then I layed on the ice, and got half my body kind of under it, and got this pic of under the ice. Whoa, the water is way out there now. (I wanted to see it)Thats the ice crust on top of the pic. I was in one of the boat docks.

We are melting slowly.

Balder strolling on the sea ice.

And finally were not totally frozen here. We plan on a sauna tonight, and it at least is thawed out!

See now your all cooled off,, and can go back out and make those flowers and veggies grow!!

No need to cool off here, but at least our snow and ice are gone. Still too early to garden here, though, although I've been pulling weeds every day. Hope it keeps melting for you. I just got back inside after taking pictures of loons that were 30 feet off shore. Beautiful birds. Also, what I think was a tundra swan (according to my bird book) but they're not supposed to be here. Spring has sprung!

What a fantastic shot of what's under the ice Biita!!! If I'd tried lying on the ice it would have broken for sure!!! I'm glad everything is beginning to thaw out for you now. Let's hope it moves on apace so that you can see plenty of green again soon.

Oh, I could feel the cold from here. I will definitely have to refer back to these pictures when I come in for a break on these hot mornings.

You got half your body under the ice to take that picture....are you crazy? Don't get me wrong, it's a great picture but ....are you crazy?

What can I say, lol. I guess I am crazy but honestly where I was laying I knew if the ice should crack more or break I would only fall on rocks and seaweed.. so not so bad. But the snow on land is very very wet now, and almost like little pelts, its melting fast...(thank every god known to mankind) And with rain for the next couple days, it should almost be all gone,, then I can sweat like everyone else!!!

Thank you all for taking the time to "freeze" a little.

Biita, great shots of your snow & ice.
A little too soon for my liking here though, as we have had waaay too long of winter this year. I also will refer back to them when I'm sweating out in the garden later this summer-Thanks.

Glad you will be able to play in the dirt instead of under the ice. I am like Toni... are you crazy??? Be my luck to slip and fall and not be able to get up till the ice melted... but oh, I forgot... I can't swim!! I'd be in a big mess! Is that your house? I love it. Thanks for sharing your photos.

I can swim real good, but even I don't think i could last long in the North Sea,,lol. I lived in Finland, but i'm not a Finn,,,( sorry thats a scandinavian joke) The house is a sauna, where we all go to relax, take a steam bath that is good for the circulation and skin and detoxes the body in a healthy way, but during winter sometimes we can't get to it because the snow is too deep. We do this in summer too, and sometimes when guests are here they join us.

lol,, i remember August and September in Alabama,, aka "wet t-shirt weather" and not a rain drop to be found!

I would walk out my front door after being in an air-conditioned house, and would instantly be drenched in humidity.
