I had not thought about coating it with something.
It's really thick glass and in a pretty much sheltered place but I do have a contingency plan for protecting it from any really bad storms.....that baby is coming in the house!

I have seen the very large dragons made out of cement...the only problem is getting them home and set up...smaller is definitely the way to go..very cute idea.
