I don't remember the name of the Iris, like a ditz I threw the package away Rolling Eyes But it is gorgeous, especially with the rain drops on it.

Also, my Mom's landlady finally let me have this headboard that had been in the storage room of the house my Mom is renting. Very Happy Very Happy

It is in the birthmonth garden with a Honeysuckle planted neath the middle. Honeysuckle is the flower for June and both of my daughter were born in June.

Awww, that's the sweetest head board I've ever seen. Well, noticed, at least. I'm so pleased for you that the lady finally gave in. Your iris is a beauty with that rich, dark colour. I love it. Very Happy

I love that Iris Toni. I don't think that I've ever seen one with such a dark, rich color!
That headboard looks great! I can't wait to see it when the Honeysuckle is blooming. I'm a June baby too but I didn't know it was the flower for June!

What a beautiful Iris, you ditz !!!! And what a wonderful birthday present. Can't wait to see where and how you use it. I still haven't gotten back to Dallas. It has been 18 months now. The traffic would probably scare the cr@p out of me.BUT if I do, I'm going by your favorite 'store'.

Deanna, it's supposed to be a white honeysuckle but with the luck I had with a couple of mislabled plants I am not going to swear to that.

Most honeysuckle around here blooms in the late spring/early summer so I might not see any this year but hopefully it will be in a blooming frenzy this time next year.

I love bedsteads being used as trellises, they always add some much individuality to a garden - and what a lovely dark iris, I agree, velvet!

Love the dewdrops. I too have a few old iron headboards around my gardens. They add a lot of interest (even in the winter). I love 'em!
