Dreaming of Spring in the Garden.

Category: Garden Gab | Posted: Fri Feb 02, 2007 5:58 pm

I am laid up at home and off work for at least another month. I need something to do - so...... I decided to start a garden blog. I have plenty of time to dream about what new and exciting plants and seeds I want to add to my garden.

Mostly I like old-fashioned plants and herbs. Perennials are the best and annuals that freely self-sow, such as Borage and California Poppies. Hopefully my next blog entry will be more scintillating.

Joy, welcome to the Stew. Please post an intro in our Welcome to GardenStew forum so everyone can get to know you.

Blogs are fun and when you get the hang of it you will find the words just flowing from your fingers....so to speak.

Have fun with the blog. Since you have time on your hands for a while, be sure to browse thru all the forums and other blogs. Even after you return to work you will find coming here is a wonderful way to relax from your days stresses.

Glad to see you here JJ. Many of us have blogs and we just blather on about whatever is going on in our lives, whether garden or not. We know when people have a cold or are about to have new grandchild, when it is born, how much it weighs and what kind it is. Sometimes we even talk about gardens. We also all love to see photos of what you are doing, what you love in your garden, what you saw out your window. Have a look in our members' gallery under photo archives and you will see what we love to take pics of.

Hi there Joy and welcome to The Stew from bonnie Scotland. Whatever have you been doing to yourself? I hope it's nothing serious.
I know you're going to love being here on our forums as much as we all do. Remmeber though you tend to get addicted to this place before you know it.
It's going to be fun getting to know you.
