Large terracotta post may look wonderful on the patio but, because the clay is porous, they tend to dry out rather quickly. Simply line your pots with carrier bags before putting in your compost. Ensure that the plastic is hidden under the soil before planting. Water loss from the pots will be considerably reduced. This blog entry has been viewed 163 times
