Reeling in Halfmoon Bay BC

Category: My Sunshine Coast Garden | Posted: Mon May 14, 2012 4:10 pm

I've never determined for certain what the original reels held, but these make excellent decorative footings for trees, vegetables.... and if you flip them flat side up, they create a natural circle boundary for a mower. There's more pictures at http://www.johnmarian.com/blog/oh-babe-you-got-me-reeling/

What would you use them for? Does anyone else do something similar?

I don't have anything like those reels but wish I had. I think I'd use them the way you have or maybe grow herbs in them. I wonder what their origional use was? Very attractive.
