.this was the start of my pergola,me and ron set it up ourselves,using his pickup and we rose it up with it,,we were so tired and sore afterwards,but it was worth it..if your interested in putting together a pergola,check out local salvage shops for old porch stuff even antique stores,wherei found mine was at one in lexington,mo..porch posts run about depending on size from 25.00 to over 150.00..mine cost 850.00 but we love it...we recently also purchased lightening rods to display in our garden beds, the rods are fairly cheap ,but its the colored balls that arent,
and you can grow vines on them,,secure in windy areas though!...
