The dandelion, known to botanists with its Latin name Taraxacum, is known to one of the flowers that are vastly spread all over the world. Although native to Europe and Asia only, several species are also found on different continents, making this plant a very common one. Its floret is bright yellow and positioned on top of a hollow stem. The leaves of the plant are also having a specific form, somewhat like lances. The very name depicts them like vicious teeth (from French dent-de-lion – lion's teeth), but in reality they are pretty.
