July 9 storm

Category: Mother Nature's wrath | Posted: Thu Jul 10, 2014 2:47 am

Today, July 9, we got a storm where I live so bad, that I no longer have a garden. Quarter sized hail for ten minutes (minimum) will do that. When my camera batteries recharge, I will work on getting them in the proper size and before and after.
Hail killed everything for the most part.Flowers, veggies...at least my new blueberries weren't planted yet.
As gardeners, I'm sure you understand, but at least my family and friends were ok.
Until later my garden stew compadres :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your garden being destroyed.
I'm glad you still have your blueberries and hope all goes well for a quick recovery of your garden.

Thank you Beeker :) As an update, my parents brought over a "care package" of nine tomato plants, a jalapeno, and a cucumber...My family loves me, lol

I feel for you. Glad your parents brought over the care package. It sounds like they understand how much the garden meant to you.

Thanks Eclecticgarden :) They brought over more tomatoes and peppers today too, so I'm going to do all I can to get them up and running.
