Although I see myself as a writer I've never written a blog before, and since I'm in need of a little writing, here goes nothing!

I'm very happy to see this on GardenStew, I haven't been here all that long but what a great site! It really feels like community and reading about everybody's projects and plants is very inspiring.

Since I've never been much of a gardener most of my family and friends are a bit perplexed by this new interest, but I must say it's so intriguing and diverse I don't know why I haven't taken it up long ago! I'm still learning, and my next project is succulents. I found an online seed shop and after picking out everything I liked I had to reduce my basket by 75%!! The enthusiasm is there, now just to put it to work!

I seem to come up with all these great schemes and plans but the commitment seems to be a problem since my whole house is full of half-done projects. My new year's resolution is therefor to COMMIT. Commit to this gardening thing and commit to writing! No more procrastination!

I'm supposed to be writing a stage play at the moment, I've written smaller one-act plays for my drama school but this is supposed to be a real full length drama and I've already got one of my drama friends/fellow-actors/fellow-directors all lined up, we just need a script.... She's a lot more energetic, extroverted, hands-on than me, so hopefully that will motivate me into moving away from the tv and in front of the blinking cursor....

Good luck with your writing (both blog & drama). And good luck with fighting the good fight with procrastination. It has been a lifelong battle for me...I can say I have made progress, but..it is still a battle sometimes. Good luck to you.
