Nov. 23 First snow!

Category: Daily life. | Posted: Wed Nov 23, 2005 2:46 pm

Here it is, the day before Thanksgiving and we are getting our first measurable snow. It's coming down real fine now, but is supposed to start snowing harder this afternoon. They say an inch by tonight and maybe another inch by morning. This is early for us compared to average years. Usually it is in Dec. that we get our first snow. It's about 30 deg F now and not supposed to get much warmer today. I have a fire going, the cat is stretched out in front of the stove, and I have a wood box full of wood. Nice and cozy here!
It has stopped snowing now. Here is what it looks like after an inch of snow.

This is the upper part of my lane. One of the reasons I have the snow removal gear I have.

Winter coziness has began. Still waiting for our first snow here. Yesterday has some of the worst fog I have witnessed in years. And boy is it cold!

It's 61 degs here. I guess that means no snow. We had a fire this morning but I've had the oven on all day so may not need one tonight.
