Dec. 31, 2005

Well here it is, the last day of 2005. Not a lot going on over here. We had some showers come through last night. It has been above freezing here for over a week and I only have 2 little piles of snow left. Not that I miss the snow, but the ground is so wet that when you walk in the yard, it sounds like you are walking on a sponge! I will probably ring in the New Year in my sleep tonight. I am not much of a party person anymore. I used to be a big party person when I was in the Navy. I did find out out yesterday, that I will have my pacemaker replaced with a defibrilator some time in Feb. My Dr. says there is nothing that shows that I really need it now, but that research shows that people with the defib's live longer than people with just pacers. The pacer keeps the heart from beating too slow, and the defib. keeps it from beating too fast! Well the only thing else I have to say is Happy New Year to all!

It's windy here and very gloomy. I think that California storm is headed our way. Rain in lower elevations and snow in higher elevations. I'm hoping we will be in the lower elevations.

Happy New Year Capt,
We had a great time with friends on New Years Eve. We watched "Sound of Music" and looked at all the places we'd been to. (They came with us on the trip)
We then watched the New Years celebration of the Sydney harbor Bridge on TV. At midnight we went outside to see the fireworks which was great. There were 2 lots. 1 in the east and 1 in the west. Didn't know which way to look! ha, ha
Weather here is hot. 40C today, but we have air conditioning.

Happy New year to all GradenStew folk.
May it be safe and prosperous.

My sister was in Sydney for those celebrations Craig. Did you spot her in the crowd? lol :)
