friendship garden update

Category: My Friendship garden | Posted: Fri Aug 03, 2007 10:16 pm

Well, I have been out looking for plants, and have found a couple . Elizabeth Ann Hardy Geranium, Beautiful, hopefully as hardy as The Aunt it will Represent. Tess of the d' urbervilles a Tree rose
and Alda May a beautiful DL. I also received some Johnny's Maple seed. They Are in the frig for the next 30 days, and then if I'm lucky and live long enough I might have a nice Japanese Maple cultivated in Us, For my garden. Have never Tried to grow one from seed but as soon as my youngest nephew saw one he though it should respresent him. I Told him he would be out of college before it was big enough to amount to anything, He told me all good thing come to those who wait. Out of the mouths of babes. LOL. Also found a Daylily called Glided by Grace and a Gigi . I really could do this garden in all daylilies and still have everyone I know I never realized how many there are until I started this. I think There is one for every name known to man. But that would take all the fun out of it. Half the family, well the young and the computer savvy are trying to out do each other trying to help aunt jen find the perfect flower to plant in this garden. Maybe I will call it" The Garden that brought the family together" or " The Generation Garden." My father has even been looking,And my Mom talked a guy out of a Becki's Bonnet Iris at Flower auction, After she told him What I was doing. I knew this would be an adventure.
