Grandma again

Category: Ramblings | Posted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 3:20 pm

I just got the message, I'm grandma to a big, beautiful baby girl! She measures 51 cm/20 inches, weighs 4 kgs/8.8 pounds and has lots of dark hair. I think she looks very much like her daddy, but I haven't seen her in real life yet. I'm so happy everything went well, and I think I need to go hide somewhere and cry a bit.

Wooohoooo, congrats big time Droopy. I love bigger babies, they are so much easier to handle and dress than the tiny ones. I had one of each, Lisa was a little over 9 pounds then Amanda weighed in at only 6.5 pounds.

What's her name? When do you get to start spoiling her?
Cry away, I did when both my grandsons were born.

Welcome to the World, Sofie!!! Congratulations Droopy!!! Ohhh i love being a grandma, and both my kids were big babies too. Josh was 10.6 lbs and Britt was my roll of the dice baby,,7.11 lbs.

Make sure you spoil her as much as you can, and hugs and kisses from her Auntie Henna!
(we can all be her aunts and uncles can't we,,,please!)

Thanks all! It's a bit difficult to spoil my grandchildren since my to youngest are so young, but I do my best. *lol* I'll tell her about the wonderful world of the Stew and all the gardening ants and uncles there.

CONGRATULATIONS DROOPY!!!
Olé, olé, olé...whoopee!
Really happy for you and yours.
That's a big girl. Sofie--what a nice name.
Well, I guess that you've had a little sniffle by now, so you are all ready to begin with the joyous task of spoiling. I still say that it's amazing that such a young person could be a grandmother.
congrats again! :-)

Thanks Sjoerd! I like you already so no flattery needed. *lol* Don't take that the wrong way now. I feel like I'm walking on cotton and can't settle down to do anything. I think I'll just go find the hammock and lie there for a bit.

Congratulations, Droopy! Grandma's get younger all the time. Do they live close to you? My grandchildren all live in other states with the exception of my two new ones that I acquired when Dan got married. dooley

Thanks dooley. Yes, they live about five minutes away by car, so they're close. I'm very thankful for that.
