More spring favourites

I am not only looking forward to primroses in spring. I also like it when the Omphalodes verna starts:

And these are called "Texas". My husband saved them from a ditch:

The irises are also nice:

These are small ones, but there's nothing small about their flowers.

I love those Irises. Beautiful.
"Texas"?? Lovely and eye-catching

My mother says that's what they are. And very hardy and willing too. The orange does stand out, but I can't seem to catch it properly with my camera.

So pleased you rescued 'Texas' from the ditch. I wonder why people throw away beautiful flowering bulbs?

Probably came with a dumpster when an old garden was turned into a factory or some such. They were standing there, with their lovely flowers, so Hubby fetched a spade and brought them home, bless him.

Lovely Texas and Irises Droopy.I have found that
the irises in ditches ususlly are from bulbs being washed out from old home places and since ditches are cut to keep water from cutting across the country roads and collect those wonderful bulbs. Then the washed dirt covers them up and in the Spring you get wonderful blooms along the roadside.

I forgot to mention that Texas is a narcissi, didn't I?

I like it when garden plants escape to add beauty along the roads.

I love the Texas narcissi, will definitely have to find some for next spring.

I love Iris's, yours are gorgeous. I wonder if the creeping forget-me-not will grow here, I have some trees to plant around.
