Favorite hummingbirds food in my garden!

Category: Hummingbirds | Posted: Mon Apr 14, 2008 3:16 pm

Greetings from Ty Ty Geogia,

The hummingbirds have been busy for 2 weeks here in South Georgia. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching two of them work on my Lavender blooms, Bottlebrush blooms, and especially my greggi red salvia and hot lips salvia plants which are in full bloom! Stay tuned for updated information, including the return of the swallowtail butterflies!

Yes, my greggi red and hip lips salvia stay evergreen here in Georgia, so, they are in full bloom now just in time for the hummers returning from Florida. Thanks, Lisa Belan

Love the colour of that Salvia. It makes me wish I were a hummingbird. *lol*

When I plant salvias they don't attract any hummingbirds. Well they wouldn't would they as I live in Scotland!!! LOL They do attract bees and butterflies though which is great. Love the colour of yours Lisa.

Very pretty salvia! I love the way they attract the hummingbirds. The Pink Gaura I have attracts them as well. I've had them come up and feed while I am standing there....just not long enough for pictures. Thanks for posting your pics.
