Fruit in the vegetable garden

Category: Village Square | Posted: Fri Jun 27, 2008 5:32 pm

Tomato plants started indoors which my cat Casey slept on, but rallied as soon as I put them in the garden. The cukes are almost seedless and crunchy! I put in a second planting of Bush Beans and lettuce yesterday. My new deep rose, dinner plate Hibiscus also went in. Beside, all the plants got a good feeding. Whew am I tired.

Oh your cukes are looking so yummy! I love cuke and tomato sandwiches. What kind of heirlooms did you plant? I have about 6 different varieties that I started. they looked a bit pathetic when they went in the ground 3 weeks ago but they look fanatastic now.

I like cucumber and tomato sandwiches too, and I'd love to try your produce on my bread! *lol* Your hard work is really rewarding you.

I didn't keep the name of the Heirlooms - I hadn't joined the blog then, but believe they are a variety of types. I keep a journal now, because I can't keep track of when I feed things - a product of a senior mind. I hope you make homemade bread, Droopy "cause" I might arrange an exchange. Sounds good to me.

Oh, I haven't made homemade bread for years! Perhaps it's time I did again. I was quite good at it, but suddenly had no time. I'm afraid it would be very stale before it reached you, though. *lol*

Healthy looking plants. You will be eating those sandwiches pretty soon by the looks of things.
Well done, you.

Thanks, I love doing it, as do we all. But I keep learning by listening to you all. It's so good to have so many to share your passion with.
