Visit to Seed Savers Heritage Farm
We took our yearly jaunt to Decorah, Iowa, and had to stop at the Seed Savers Heritage Farm while we were there.
We only had time to run into the visitor's center, but it is just as well, as rain wasn't far behind us! I did pick up some seed though: Kiss-Me-Over-The-Garden-Gate (Polygonum orientale), Russell Lupine mix (Lupinus polyphyllus), Spider Flower mixture (Cleome Hasslerana), Love-Lies-Bleeding (Amaranthus caudatus), Prairie Lupine (Lupinus perennis), and Scarlet Magic Tassel Flower (Emilia coccinea). What a super place! Congratulations on your new seed, I hope they sprout and grow for you, and then you'll share some photos with us, right? :D
What a big place! Hope to see pics soon. I would have had fun in a place like that
Wow, would I love that place. There are some rare heirloom seeds on the internet, but expensive. I can't imagine a whole barnfull to choose from. Good luck with them.
It looks a nice place and you chose some pretty good seeds there.
Looks like a fun place. Will you plant your seed now, or what? Login or register to leave a comment. |
