Everyone Needs a Good Place to Hide

Category: Pianolady's Gardens | Posted: Fri May 29, 2009 9:44 pm

My wonderful husband graciously came up with the idea to build an arbor in my back garden years back. Seven years later, my wisteria still has not bloomed....but I don't really care. It still provides a wonderful wall of privacy giving me a great place to sit. One of these years I hope to be surprised with massive purple blooms, but in the meantime, I'll enjoy hiding out in my secret room.

You've got a lovely space there. Your husband did good. Have you ever pruned that wisteria? I believe they need some serious pruning in order to bloom.

What a perfect spot to while away some 'me' time. It's lovely to have somewhere private to retreat to once in a while and let the cares of the world take a back seat isn't it?

My purple wisteria isn't flowering either even although I've pruned it back hard every year. My white one is showing signs of having its first blooms though so I'm happy to wait until the other one feels like flowering for me. I think we gardeners are endowed with endless patience where our plants are concerned.

What a great site for you to enjoy. I hope your wisteria blooms soo. I have no experience with growing them but they are beautiful.

I wish I could send you some of my wisteria. It blooms faithfully... I trim it very frequently because it overgrows it's alotted space in my little yard. Oh! I would love to provide it with a beautiful structure like yours! That is a lovely spot....
