I hate to see Winter come

Category: A little look at my flowers before the frost | Posted: Thu Nov 02, 2006 6:43 pm

I dread seeing all the plants dead .I always hate to see the trees with no leaves and the grass brown everything looking so dreary.
This is my Zennia's with a big beautiful butterfly sitting on one.

Another shot of my Confederate Rose in Bloom

I will surely miss all the butterflys and dragon flys and the big blooms on my sunflowers .I will also miss being able to get down and dirty with the dirt.
I do hate to see the cold creeping in on us. Oh well
I guess I will sure be waiting for the SPRING to come.

I know just how you feel Glenda but I always console myself with the thought that the garden is just resting for a while. Come spring everything will look fresh and new again.

At least our winter is only about 6 weeks long. But we have those dreadful summers that are awful.

I'm looking forward to a shorter winter and I'll be looking at pics and catalogs during the frosty season too.

Thanks for sharing your blooms and I hope the winter goes fast for you!

Me too Glenda, although we usually have a few roses that bloom off and on all winter, unless it gets really cold.

I am off to browse for free seed catalogs after I finish reading the blogs. That way I will have something to dream about during the winter.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes Winter .I
am not crazy about summer but most of my plants survived with watering .I'll go look for seeds too.

Enjoy the crunch of dried leaves covered in frost. The earth is sleeping and renewing itself with a nice rest. Dream about Spring...

I enjoy winter for awhile - it seems I need the rest as much as the earth does so rejuvinate. Of course I am always ready for spring much earlier that the earth in Michigan is.
