when i talk about my garden i have to say that i have been very fortunate in having enough water throughout the year. we have a well which takes care of this. then i have made a vermi compost tank, which is able to give me manure sufficient for my patch of garden. since i live on the western coast of india, the summer is very hot and humid. and we get good rains. winter is practically nil.
well, let me try once more to put some pictures in.

Congratulations Greenfairy on posting your first photographs. Your amaryllis is beautiful and I hope that now you will post lots of piccies for us to see.
You can actually afford to make your pictures bigger than the ones you have posted as long as they don't exceed 320 x 240 (medium) in size.
