rain!rain!!rain!!!

Category: nature's marvels | Posted: Tue Jun 07, 2011 5:35 am

The monsoon has set in at the right time. rains everyday, keeps on raining. work outside is not easy. plants need a lot of trimming and pruning once the rain slows down. but the heat of the summer has gone, it is very cool this time of the year.

i had been waiting for this plant to flower for a very long time. and this year, it has bloomed. i just love the fragrance it gives, heavenly.

this is one more of my plants, once it blooms, it stays for along time, each opening to give blue, yellow clours

Hello There-- Well, it's good to hear that it is cool where you are living. That Polianthus tuberosa sounds and looks delightful. Of course the red Billbergia is quite attractive, but I am intrigued by the Polianthus.
I like the flowers and the fragrance must be very nice, since you commented on it.

Thanks for this interesting posting, GF.

thanks sjoerd and jewll. that tuberose is one of my favorites for the fragrance when it blooms in the evenings. i usually stay close to it at dusk, and one or two each day, it blooms. the earlier ones have started to wilt. thanks again
