Christmas Presents, Past & Present
Category: bethie's world | Posted: Wed Dec 12, 2007 9:23 pm Well, hubby and I just finished several new pieces and I thought I would put them in. First I thought I would show some past presents. Someone nicely loaned me their scanner. Some things made out of wood. We were lucky enough to be offered some wood off a barn being torn down and we decided to make this large Tenn. Flag for our local library. We love books! Hubby even hung it for them. 
This fish was carved and then woodburned. 
These all swam away one Christmas. 
Birdhouse clocks for everyone. 
Little greenhouses one year. 
Yes, I am on my own Christmas list! 
I made this pattern for some kinfolks that long for HOME. 
Color makes a big difference. 
Of course our main love is stained glass. This was a baby shower gift. 
Hubby's Mom is a wonderful seamstress. We were able to solder real pins to this piece. 
There's always a cat lover on your list. 
And an owl lover too. 
This is a mosaic piece I just finished this morning. It was inspired by my lusting after Zuzu's orchids. 
Just finished this one also.

Your stained glass work is so amazing! Can't imagine how complicated it must have been to make that sewing one. I've been meaning to tackle learning to do enamelling (got the stuff for it at a garage sale), but I'm starting to think I'd rather learn stained glass!!!
Bethie your work is absolutely fantastic!! I think my favourites, and it was really hard to choose, are the fish and the owl. I would give house room to any one of your beautifully crafted pieces though. You are very talented and I'm green with envy!!!
Bethie, you inspire me. Your work is so creative & unique! And, you get your projects DONE! I've got many unfinished projects....I just can't find a good stretch of time to get things done. I always come to see your work as soon as I receive an announcement that you've posted. Keep at it, you are terrific!
The beauty of your pieces takes may breath away. Your fish are so detailed, and the mosaic looks like it takes forever to make. My heart stopped at the cat and owl, they are so striking. Everything is fantastic.
No one should have that much talent !!!! The stain glass pieces are so pretty. Pretty doesn't do them justice. You do beautiful work ... whatever you make. I'm rather 'green' right now!
