flowers are blooming

Category: Grandaddys Blog | Posted: Wed May 20, 2009 10:13 am

Some of my Daylilies are starting to bloom. I have just started planting my annuals. My neighbors pink roses are so bright they look to be glowing in the sun.

My daylilies have a way to go yet before they flower so it's nice having yours to look at. The dianthus are lovely - I like the white around the petals. My geraniums are also behind yours as they are only about 3" high. This year I decided to get a mix(Palladiums) so I'm impatient to see exactly what colours I have.

Can you tell me the name of the beautiful white flowers in your second photograph please? I really find them attractive and wonder if I can grow them here in Scotland.

Awww, lovely colour! I wish I culd smell that rose and the Dianthus. Like Eileen asked, what's that second one?

GrandaddyDayCare wrote on Wed May 20, 2009 12:10 pm:

The second one is a Kousa Dogwwod.

Droopy, just close your eyes and imagine the sweetest smelling fragrance you can imagine, or you are welcome to come to Tennessee for the real thing.
