Timber

Category: My Mini Farm | Posted: Tue Mar 17, 2009 3:25 am

We again had some wonderful weather. Both my husband and I had the day off to get a few things done. We decided before we got our veggie gardens going for the year to trim back a mulberry that was shading the east side of the garden. This ended up being more of a job then I anticipated. Our communication lines must have gotten crossed. The next thing I knew my husband had cut down almost all of the tree. It was decided to cut it completely down after that. Thankfully the tree wasn't full grown. It looks like we will have another busy day ahead chipping the branches and stacking the logs. I am not sure what we will do with the stump that is left. It may come in handy as a stool to sit on after a hard day working in the garden.

You can always use it to set a plant or a garden ornament on. I am glad it was you cutting it down. I'm so allergic to mulberry that I would have ended up in the hospital cutting a whole tree down. I hope you still have time to get the other stuff done. dooley

I think you ended up doing the right thing by cutting it down.Makes a great place to put a plant.Dig out the center and put potting soil and plant something neat in it.
