One of the robins has started to come for the berries that I stored in the freezer.

You store the berries specifically for the birds Kildale? That's interesting and cool!
What kind of berries?
Wow, That is very thoughtful of you. I will start that habit. It's a good one.
Yes. I have a shelf in the freezer and its bursting at the seams with mountain ash berries.
Gotta love those Robins. They used to leave us during the winter here and be one of the signs of spring, but recently they seem to stay around more. Especially this year, it is so mild right now. The past week, we have seen dozens of them in our backyard feeding on the Crabapples and various ground goodies. They have been with a flock of Cedar Waxwings. So fun to watch!
Our robins come to the garden for the mealworms I put out for them in preference to the berries. The blackbirds love them though as well as quartered apples I give to them. Login or register to leave a comment. |
