Hummingbird in Winter

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Sat Apr 25, 2009 5:22 pm

This is an Anna's Hummer that I took during the winter. How they make it is beyond me, not so much the cold but where is the food besides what I put out.

Hummingbirds look so small and fragile and yet they can travel, whilst migrating, for hundreds of miles. They seem far too delicate to withstand these long journeys, as they travel singly, but are obviously far more robust than most people think they are.
