The biggest visitor to the garden.

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Fri Apr 03, 2009 6:15 am

This is the female pileated woodpecker, actually it's not the biggest visitor to the garden as we did have a heron a couple of times last year. But this is the biggest that comes onto the deck.

Woodpeckers are such handsome birds and yours is very different from the Great Spotted Woodpeckers that visit my garden. Another great photograph Kildale.

This is a fantastic picture. The pileated woodpeckers are so shy up at our cabin that we rarely see them. Again WOW!
