Neither wonder the first bird is called a stilt with long legs like that!! At first glance you'd take the white eye patch to actually be the birds eye until you look closer at the photograph.

Another brilliant shot of a heron. One day I hope to get shots of our local herons that are as good as yours.

Very impressive photos. We get lots of Herons here in NC. We have a lake that attracts all kinds of birds that we like to go to. Unfortunately I don't have a camera like yours that would take good long-distance pics.

Oh, my, those were long legs on that stilt. I like the markings on it's face too.

Your heron looks sort of cuddly on that photo, at least I think so.
