This is the woodland skipper. There are usually a few of them about as they tend to stay together.

I think we have these butterflies over here too but they always manage to flutter away before I get a photograph of them. This makes positive ID rather difficult to say the least!!
What a lovely photo! I've always enjoyed butterflies, but now have a new appreciation for them. We have raised several caterpillars, researching every step to get it right, and plan to release them in the garden on Monday.Incredible creatures, aren't they! Login or register to leave a comment. |
