A Gray Jay

Category: My Garden Birds | Posted: Mon Feb 15, 2010 2:40 am

This is a mountain bird but is very friendly and had names like, whiskey jack, camp robber and Canada Jay. Nests very early, as the snow melts. Always keen to come close.

I didn't know there was such a bird as a Gray Jay. Most of the jays we have here in the UK are very shy birds and difficult to photograph. How I would love to get such a clear shot of one of our Britsh jays.

At first I read this as "A Gray Day", but the content were quite more welcome than that. Thanks Kildale.
