More work done in May...

Category: Roses and Garden | Posted: Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:50 pm

Its raining (has it ever stopped =), and my camera is being borrowed, so will post some more work pictures from May time frame...

Im creating 4-5 seperate garden areas, I would approximate the total size of my gardens will be around 2500 - 3000 sq feet or so.. I guess enough space for me to play around in.. IT always seems to go fast though. I keep finding more trees to cut down =). But quite honestly, the 100 or so tree's Ive removed so far is a mere pittance as to what is on the property!

Anyways, this is the more the front of the house beds I have created so far...

Start of Wall with some yews and winter gem boxwoods planted, I started this last fall...

Extened wall filled in with triump carnations, daylily seedlings (I stared like 500 daylily seedlings this year!) It also now has Annuals started from either wintersowing or inside starts, Yvonnes Salvia, Yellow Hibiscus, Morning Glories to trail up the stair area and some orange Cosmos and a Nikko Blue Hydrangea shrub, I got for about 5 bucks at end of season sale, it has a suprising # of buds on it! I will probable have to cover to get any every year, will see If I bother with that !

Start of front and extended, I started the front last fall and finished this spring, even though it doesnt look like I mulched the whole thing, I finally have, just no new pics of the general area yet!

extened and picking shrubs etc out.. I have some two year old daylily seedlings in there, blanket flower, dianthus siberian blues , lavender, pink pocket wiegla , korean azealas, Hansa Rose. There is now some winter sown annuals as well, picotee cosmos, calendula, dwarf garden phlox.

Hopefully will get my camera back tommorow, have a few things out there in bloom!

My dwarf azealas actually blooms quite pretty, but for some ODD reason, I never took photos of them! My wiegla didnt fare well in pot over winter, so hoping a year in the ground will make it hardier! Youve already seen a pick of Hansa...

You're certainly making great headway with you garden. I hope you do get your camera back as I'd love to see what the beds look like now.
