58 degrees in July???
Category: Creating an English Cottage Garden | Posted: Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:52 am Typical Wisconsin, cold, windy and cloudy on the first day of July. I was able to get another panel of fence in, although it took several hours and a lot of effort to dig the post hole. The clay, which starts about 6 inches down is like trying to dig through cement. I ended up cutting the post about 4 inches short because I couldn't dig anymore. Hopefully I can finish the fence on Friday. Then on to the flagstone pathways. I raised my boys in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I remember a 4th of July when we wore coats to the fireworks display. It was warmer in Fairbanks, Alaska that day. I hope you get your fence up so you can get on with your flowers. dooley
We had a wind chill yesterday of 39 degrees. Tomorrow is the annual meeting of BOLROA, and the fireworks that evening. On Saturday the Boat parade here on the lake, and the parade in town. Hoping for warmer weather too.
And we are in the middle of an intense heat wave. Enjoy your cool, I may come for the summer. Login or register to leave a comment. |
