A Valentine for the Stewbies

Category: stories | Posted: Thu Feb 12, 2009 6:01 pm

Young mouse snuffed around the garage floor. He was looking for food in the midst of a dark, snowy winter, but his mind was on Lady mouse. How to win the affection of the sweetest mousette consumed his thoughts of late. Perhaps some gift, some trifle... his twitching nose detected something. A new smell. A wonderful smell. What could this be? Oh, glory! His whiskers flickered wildly as Young mouse snatched the bright pink treasure up and hurried back to his home in the woodpile. He gently set it down and admired it from all sides. A quick taste, perhaps, just to make sure it was alright. Then a good bath... How could Lady mouse resist?

What an adorable story and painting.
You do write these stories on the back of the painting don't you?

Never thought of that Toni, but it's a great idea. I'll have to use a tiny font though, since it's only 2"x3"!

Thank you for posting that lovely, little story, Mary. I'd be ready to date that mouse myself after reading about him.

THat is stunning - so much detail in the artwork and so tiny. Quite befitting a tiny mouse. Thanks for the story.
