Im not going to be on the computer just in case they pull on electric line on accident, dont want a power surge to mess up my computer. I had to buy a new computer a few months back for a surge!
Hop eyour weather isn't getting you down,if it is pull out a garden magazine and enjoy!

I was married had 1 kid and pregnant with the 2nd .
One christmas, i got my 1st car .
It was a 67 mustang fastback, bought for 350.00,and then a motor and transmition was to be bought for it.
I loved that old car, took it every where. Ive had 2 other mustangs since . I see the new ones today, the fastbacks , Their nice , but give me a old classic !

Have a great evening all!

Well the front yard is gonna be a mess, sure is! The pipe at foundation is cracked ,oh boy!
The gigantic shrubs will have to be pulled out. The shrubs to left are the ones having to go.

But with that in mind , a new bare spot! That will mean new bushes ,or a nice japanese maple ,or who knows . This side of the house is the north side , shady ... ferns maybe.

But i know Ron is not a happy camper , i should be more reserved on this right now . For now i'll think this to myself...
I've been coughing and my throats sore. Dont know if its from being out in the rain, putting mulch on azealas, or what but my throat hurts. Was trying to coat it last night witha few homemade frozen margaritas. I slept good any ways, not like the night before.
We are having a plumber, here today to run a camera down our pipes, to see if there's a broken pipe.I know Ron is worried about that and $$$ cost wondering how expensive it will be , plus the mess they will make of our front yard .If they have to dig it up out front.
Its also looking like rain , carried my cushions in the house already this morning , even before my 1st cup of coffee.

Talked to mom, she's had strep throat for a few days now,is this a sympathy thing we got going, being away from each other , hmmm.
Daughter Maggie is working till 10pm every night at the mini mart , Jeremiah is being watched by his grampa there, or Matt(My 22 year old son) helps her.
I think some chocolate is what i need , to make me feel better , no not really.

Here's the cats..

Its suppose to rain some this week, so have to get whatever needs done today, and tomorrow.
I got sunburned yesterday . Wore a tank top all day , should have known better.
Couldn't sleep at all last night, maybe to much on my mind , tossed and turned. Even got up once and got on here.
May run to town,go to walmart and buy some pink spray paint for the metal lawn chairs in Rons barn.Like in the magazine article , the woman had pink lawn chairs. I thought they were quite pretty pink,Ron's are some shade of brown.
A post card of missouri.Tom Sawyer and Becky thatcher and white picket fence.

Yesterday we bought two sections of picket fence off a lady we met at a barn sale. Today we played around with some ideas to do with more picket fence. So i took some pics of what it could look like,by propping it up.The arbor of course would be painted white to match. We would have to buy new picket fence though . I priced some at lowes, they have it for like $22.00 for 8 foot long sections.
Here is my pics of what it might look like with fence propped.

Now we would go from the start of the boxwoods , to down where the yellow peace rose is at the end of the driveway.
Here are some other pics.
The azeala's planted, but before we mulched them.

My hydrangea tree.Thought i lost it to the frost, but its coming out again.

Our new rain gauge.

Ron had to get his truck plates renewed so we went to Lexington later today. After he got his business done,we went by the antique store i bought my pergola from (1st one) to give the owner some pics of the finished product. Then we went into another one on that street, they were closing their business, and were having a up to 75% off sale.I found a few nice things. Then i seen it,yup i had to get one....a victorian outside light post with the globe balls, they had several diffrent ones in their store as fixture(decoration) the owner had them marked down to 169.00,and assuming, lol.you know what that means(makes a donkey out of you and me)well, the girl said 25% off, hmmm,i was thinking more like 50% off is what i wanted to pay,the store girl calls the owner....After a brief chat..TADA..I Get it for 50% OFF.Can i hear a WHEW-HOO???lol..im tickled of course..Ron is im sure rubbing his head,,lol..
Will take a pic of it tomorrow if its not raining.
But im not sure still where its going, but ill find a place.

Tonight we had more rain, and hail tonight, didnt have that last night. Its quieted down now, hopefully no damage, winds didnt seem as fierce.

Weve been sitting here discussing (Me and Ron) about painting the Garden shed,i want to paint it white with green trim, well he's not real crazy about it ,but says go ahead,so thats what im going to be doing soon,i hope...
PV in tree this morning, dark sky.
roses are ok.
pet in fountain,alive still, lol.
Have a goodnight all..

Went to Home Depot , picked up some white trellis's to use behind roses in front yard. Didnt find any we cared forat garden show, the guy from Texas wasnt there who sells the mexican stuff. Also bought 3 more climbers for rose bed out back, Ron wasnt happy with how 3 we had already looked after the bad cold spell.
Then drove out to suburban nursery, near border ,no big climbers, then went to heartland nursery, found some irish moss and spiderwort, their hanging baskets were high(terribly)49.00,i didnt buy 1!!lol..but i came home with another gnome, and he went straight to my rose bed out front.

The wind has been just plain awful today, cant do much outside, everything would blow away, didnt get any of the 60% chance of rain...

Now today while at the Garden Show, we came across this old well pump turned into a neat fountain, they wanted $89.00.But Ron happened to remember one laying out behind Bates city antique shop, and made a quick call there .He decided to build his own, then buy the one at the garden show.
the $89.00 one.
a trip to lowes for the pump and stuff, and here is the start and finished project,,

Ron had a little more in his ,cause of the name on his, (GEM). He liked the top on his better, now it just needs to move out front away from my fountain. I am quite proud of his finished product, and it took him no time to put together!!
They finally got smart! Yes today while shopping at walmart in Blue Springs,Missouri, they were having a 50% off clearance sale "on their plants"...While i was outside going through their plant racks, the big bosses came outside. They were amazed by the quantity of women buying their reduced hanging baskets etc.
I SAID TO THEM , "YOU FINALLY GOT SMART!" They agreed with me,said "they figured it out finally!"
I told them of my dumpster diving years ago,and saving over 200.00 in geraniums, that they'd thrown away, that was in their Piedmont store though.
Any ways, i bought several hanging baskets for a little over 3.00 a piece, i was tickled!!

The other day at another walmart store (Oakgrove,MO}
they were throwing away cabbage plants in there trash buckets, thats was depressing to me, thinking of all that waste. I hope that today was a new start for all walmart stores.
Why wasnt that food(plants ) donated to churches to feed the poor,or some place where it could do good?
Listen up walmart and all other garden centers, you too will be judged...Feed our hungry, first! That will help your wallets in the long run when you gain the people's respect again! Even Sam might roll over in his grave .....and say "Its about time!".
The premiere is tonight ,but the actual selling of items is tomorrow. Just costs a few dollars to get in.Were going tomorrow to see if the guy from Texas will be there selling all his trellis and things. The town is greenwood, here in missouri. Cant wait!!
Gonna rip out out some old clematis ,on garden shed and plant my hollyhocks i got yesterday. The clematis is looking really bad.I think the hollyhocks will give it a more cottage look on the garden shed wall.
garden shed.
frogs tongue,etc..ducks
the other side(shady)

Not sure what were doing today, butim sure it will involve plants and dirt,lol..
Have a great day all..
