This garden is south facing and gets full sun all day long. The owner wants to sit out in the mornings and have breakfast on a small patio area . it will have three levels the top area is being raised three feet to take advantage of the setting sun.

removing the wall

Digging into the garden

I intend to dig out the lower half of the garden and move it up to the back half and build retaining walls and steps from old washed limestone we are getting from an old derilect farmhouse.
This part of the project will start in june
more later

We call these the Dublin mountains however they are really only hills lol . They are only 15 to 20 mins from our house and provide a great escape from the city , a great place to unwind . A road was built during famine times 1840s about 20 miles long so that the milatry could have easy access against the O Byrnes and the O Tooles who came down to Dublin raiding the city .
Glendalough (gleanndalocha ) is the glen of the two lakes and is a great attraction with Dubliners on weekends . It was a monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin in the 6 th centuary . The tower was built then to protect the monks from the Vikings .
A lot of the grave stones have the presentday O Byrnes and O Tooles names on them .
After coming off the mountain my son and I had hot fish and chips eaten from the chipper in the paper . mmmmmmmmmm A great day Bugs
