A beautiful Day For A Fall wedding in Pennsylvania

We went to a wedding in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania on Saturday. The weather was warm enough, so the wedding was held outside at the beautiful Stroudsmoor Inn. Here are a few photos to show you how pretty it was. The bride is a teacher from school. My husband and I were honored to be invited to this joyous occasion.

Since we had a 3 day holiday weekend, we thought about moving our pond bench..... Now hubby doesn't have to move it everytime he mows the lawn.

Well, we sit around all Winter waiting for Spring. I have been working like crazy to get things ready for Summer. Here's some of the progress I've made.

Here's the pond, I must have shared about thirty lilies from our pond this year. This will let the lilies spread out even more.....

Here's my resident frog, he comes to the pond and then goes to the creek to visit his froggy friends......

The old vege garden is now my experimental seed garden, this is where I try all of the seeds that I've swapped for.

I planted a ton of zinnias as the butterflies seem to enjoy them.

I would also like the following victorian houses.....

I wonder what it would cost to build one of these? That's if you could be lucky enough to find craftsmen or magicians, to do all of the intricate and detail of the building.Wow! and to have the know how, and of being able to make such intricate detail..... I just stand in awe of the whole concept....of the houses/mansions of a previous era. I can't help but wonder what the people that built the houses were like. And what they would think of our modern ways and tools...If I owned one of these I would certainly have the whole yard done up in the landscape of the victorian era.
I just walked around town and thought of how people could improve things around the houses. Hubby just laughed and let me ramble, after all it was our anniversary...lol I have one of those minds that shouldn't be allowed to wander on its own.

I would just take 1 "little House" I am so fascinated with all of the ornate details. You just can't find that in modern buildings. I would love to have a new house.... but the old houses truly have much more to offer.

Which would you do?
Have a new house built or buy an older house redone.

I think we'll go to Cape May New Jersey in June for our 19th anniversary. We went last year and stayed in this bed and breakfast......We'll check out a new one this year..... I just love all of the fanciness........

It was awesome to see the old antique and very beautiful architecture.We took a walk around town and took some photos, I could only hope to own a beautiful Victorian like these.....

Hi everyone,

I was watching the birdies this morning and a little blue one came to visit. It's a bummer, I didn't have time to put the camera on the tripod. Hopefully I can go out early on Saturday morning and set the tripod up and get some more photos..... What a nice thing to see, as Spring should certainly be on its way....
They were only around for a short time though...

Bee Balm and echinachea also makes a great contrast with butterflies....

Here's a hummingbird moth that enjoyed the butterfly bush...

Eileen, if you can figure out how to shrink yourself..... go for it!! lol
I would only charge a "mini fee" for rent. Of course you would need a "mini job".
I bought alot of the furnitre at Frank's Nursery and Crafts years ago. They closed in our area,(Pennsylvania). I don't know if they are open in other states or not.
I also order from Hobby Builder's Supply - They do have a website also. IAnd local dollhouse shop too. I also pick things up at craft shows, and stores in general.....lol

I also use alot of scrapbooking things, like the tiny robe.... that was supposed to be for a scrapbook. I really look around while I'm out shopping.

My neighbor crocheted this comforter for me.....lol it's contagious.......

Hubby bougt me this custom brass lamp for my birthday..... in Cape May Miniatures in Cape May New Jersey......

The "adorable" is to remind me of my hubby, whenever he really doesn't like something he says "it's adorable".

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share some photos of my 1" scale dollhouse.
My husband helped me build it......it has full electric too
Here's the "electrician" at work .....

This is how I had it decorated for Christmas.... I try to decorate for each Holiday.

This is the whole back of the house......it's alot of fun to decorate.....
a friend of mine put the plexi-glass doors on the back. It helps to keep mini dustbunnies at bay.

And the ones here are from my digital cameras, sometime I need to go through my hard copy photos to scan. I have sooo many photos from years ago, I have to figure out how to start that project. I would love to scrapbook, but I wouldn't know where to start.....lol
so I'll just use the more recent ones..... Here's a few more butterflies.

This is part of the reason butterflies fascinate me, as they are truly beautiful. the swallowtail butterflies just dance in the gardens, I love when they flutter from flower to flower.

Here's a few night time photos,I think the moon flowers turn out better using the night time photography feature on my camera. Otherwise yoou end up with too much bounce back from the daylight and white. So while I was playing at night I took a few other photos too.

Thanks for reading my blog......I will try to keep it filled with awesome photos that I have taken and add a few captions to them.
This is a baby squirrel that I found one day after work. He was the cutest little guy. I kept him safe,supplied with food and warm for a week, then I left him go. Hubby says I was his "first free meal" after leaving mom.

He's outta there......lol

I thought he was cute, but I wouldn't keep one as a pet. He belongs to the great outdoors...wild and free.

some rainy weather makes me wish for Spring

I know it's only January, but I'm still wishing for Spring. When we can all get out to the gardens and start digging, tilling and getting the ground ready for planting. I have been spending time getting seeds ready for that great time of year when I get to plant alot of cool seeds that will hopefully attract more butterflies. I think they are one of the most beautiful critters
I can only look at photos from past gardens to decide how I want to do things this Spring.

I've decided to plant alot more love lies bleeding, not that it will attract butterflies, but it's beautiful and fascinating. The butterflies do enjoy bee balm though.

Cosmos tend to take up alot of garden real estate but they sure are pretty....I'll need to plant them in a different space this year.

And the moon flowers are really cool.....

Purple Datura is another cool plant that I found to do well in our composted soil garden......they get much taller there, than in regular soil.

This could be a great place to put some of my photos, I have enjoyed photography for many years, and with the new digital cameras out there it's even more fun to take pictures.

I enjoy taking photos of critters like butterflies as I'm out in the garden....
