    Is this normal?

I've never had a Christmas cactus bloom more than once, usually around Christmas time. And I posted some pics of mine over the Christmas season with their lovely blooms.

But I just noticed more blooms popping out on two of them! Seriously?

I've had that happening to me too Ronni. Some of mine have flowered at Christmas and then again in time for Easter. I love it when they do that!!

Plants do what they are pre-programmed to do....bloom when the circumstances are right. You might find that the stems blooming this time are not the ones that bloomed earlier. Again, when the circumstances are right they bloom.

Is it normal for these flowers to have two different colors in the same plant? IMG_7748.JPG

Probably two kinds. Sometimes when they are putting the starts into pots at the growers greenhouse they really do not know what color blooms they will produce. If you ever take it out of the pot and wash the dirt off you will most likely find two totally separate pieces.

Oh. All right...that makes sense that there'd be two. Sometimes I will combine two smaller plants into one pot, but not this time. I remember specifically with that one, I bought the plant as one plant so if there are two, it happened before it got to me.

My guess would also be 2 planted mixed together. Mine just finished blooming inside which is either really late for Christmas or early for Easter! Mine is just a regular red tone. I've never had much luck getting white ones to grow (not sure why when the red are prolific) and I'd love to try a peach coloured one :)
