i just ordered and recieved from Baker Creek 14 packs of seeds! they look awesome and i can't wait to plant them for seedlings next weekend. Tomatoes: German Pink, Cherokee Purple, Striped Roman, Solar Flare, + one other that escapes me at the moment. Beans: Chinese Green Noodle, Rattlesnake Pole, Purple podded Pole. Peppers: Serrano, Rooster Spur ( i am a gamecock fan!), Poblano. Squash: Lebanese White, Yellow Zucchini. Canteloupe.

My mother, who i garden with, just ordered from Park Seed 6 Tomato Varieties, five of which are low acid type. My wife cannot eat tomatoes due to the acidity, but LOVES tomatoes. we are trying to grow something she can eat. Pineapple tomato, Kellogs Breakfast tomato, Golden Rave hybrid, Juliet (not low acid), Ildi, Golden Jem.

In the actual garden today i will clear trellises of old bean stalks. also will move a couple of raised beds to a new location better for watering and sun.

I checked the oat sheaves and the bird feeders. :D It's not feasible to do much else.

I have however started to leaf through seed catalogues.

Good luck with your sowing. :D

Oh, my, I am glad you asked! We cleared the paths around the three gardens and tilled, then put the mulch back on the paths; our onion starts are soaking in rainwater for planting tomorrow; we took down the cherry tomato trellis (Sungold tomato, which can get up to 7' tall) and removed the stakes that held the trellis upright; weeded out the garlic, yet again; and right now we are hoping to collapse on the patio.
And it isn't even spring yet!

Well I haven't done much compared to marlingardener but I did try to foil a grey squirrel. It's been managing to get into my 'squirrel proof' feeders to get at the peanuts. No matter what I try it seems to be one step ahead of me. Apart from that I've been clearing dead stuff out of the garden to allow for new growth and doing my daily bird count.

The garden is under 8 inches of snow and the temperature is expected to dip into single digits. I suppose winter is time for dreaming about what might happen in the garden come summer. Perhaps I could take one of my tractors out into the orange grove and find the largest orange and enjoy a fresh juicy drink, hmmmm…...

Or maybe just the snowblower and finish the driveway. :-(

Not much today. Kevin finished putting the roll lock on the refinished high tunnel and I checked the 500 geraniums, the tomato seedlings and the other few things started in the greenhouse, fed and watered the bunnies in the other greenhouse...not much.

It's been very windy here for the last three weeks, our house is on a curve in the street and everything that blows out of neighbors trash cans gets tangled up in my yard....so today was picking up more trash. And I had to hook the hoses back up to water the whole garden, we have had a whoppin' 1/4th inch of rain in the last 4+ weeks and everything is suffering even in winter.

The Dutch Iris bulbs I planted back in November are beginning to peak up out of the ground and there are a few Daffs making a comeback this spring....not a peep out the Tulips though but I really didn't expect them to make it through the summer.

Wow! Snow and wind! Hang in their ya all.

Had a wonderful sandwich for lunch with soup. Moved and planted the last blueberry bush. All four new plants bought the last two years have finally found homes in the ground. Am very slowly digging or smothering sweet woodruff that has become a lovely but invasive weed. Can't believe the depth of mat they have created. Brought back a couple of large pots from the cabin and the native plants in them. Started prepping the cabin for return AirBnB guests. Sat for hours in my overstuffed chair reading and listening my favorite Sunday afternoon shows. I day late, but a day off. :) Would love a few more days off, but would probably just waste my time dreaming and reading the day away ;)

I wish I could be out in my gardens ... the snow out there is thigh high. While I guess that is a good insulator for my plants, it makes it a little difficult for bunny chasing!

Wish I could be out in my garden too. Lovely sunny day but tonight and tomorrow we have a heavy snow fall warning. Just sweet dreams for awhile yet!

Umm I shoveled the drive and sidewalk haha

Also got my seeding area set up (when I said that to the bf I had to repeat myself 5 times before he 'got' it *eyeroll*). Well, mostly set up. I still need to put the lights up :) I have 1 tray of seeds, 6 types- Dianthus, Asclepias tuberosa, Cosmos, Agastache aurantiaca, Morning Glory and Nasturtium

    Just looking at it...
That's about all I can do with all of this snow.
    More falling now...
I went over the plans for my garden... again...
It seems that I've been doing that all winter long. Planning and dreaming... Hm.
I think I'll start some seeds, though, and pick up some compost.
