So I aquired a kitten last year around november. When I got him from my friend, he was so tiny *and malnourished :(*

When I brought him to the vet, at age 8 weeks he was 1lb. It was waaaayyy underweight. So I fattened him up. A year(ish) later, he is a big fat purbody of a kitty cat.

He's afraid to go outside, but wants to roam the halls of my apartment building. He is dominant so whenever I go to do something he has to be there first, he gives me sudden and surprising nips, and he and my son both fight like siblings. It's actually kind of funny in an exasperating kind of way.

Now as opposed to his silly kitten thinnness, he is on a diet because he is fat as all get out. His diet is going well because his belly doesn't swing back and forth when he runs anymore, but he's not super thin.

Here is him as a super fat boy {ok he's truly not as fat as my old cat, though that cat was more long than fat)

I do not have anything recent, as you all can see, he's black, my apartemnts dark, and it's hard to take pictures of black cats on a good day lol!

Underweight to overweight, quite the rollercoaster for Felix. I like the patches of white on his underside. Thanks for sharing Felix with us!

I love stories with happy endings! Felix is lucky, you are lucky, and your son will survive (hopefully).

Felix is actually my therapy cat. He knows when I'm upset, so I baby him a lot lol. He has a loving home with us :). I'm glad I have him, I just wish i could spend more time with him, poor guy is alone nearly 8 hours a day ; ;. I make up for it though.

and yeah my son sure will live! They both squabble like siblings. So, we'll see what happens there lol. I do what I can to keep them from tearing one another apart (son is jealous of kitty and kitty is jealous of son, though he protects my son if I'm upset and start yelling at him, he'll meow as loud as he can lol).

Thanks for the comments and compliments. If only there was a way to let everyone pet him. He is lovable, and so soft :D

What a great story!! You are right, black kitties are hard to photograph! I've tried and tried to get photos of Gertie & Spooky but haven't had much luck :-?

Felix has certainly landed on his feet having you taking care of him. He's a really handsome fellow and is obviously enjoying life to the full. :-D

He is a handful though, he will bite without reason since he is a dominant male, so yeah that's no fun, but he's so playful and quite lovable :)

The joys of being owned by a cat! It seems Felix has most things his way, which is as it should be. Good for you--providing a good, safe, loving home for him.

Thanks, He helps me as I help him. He is always there for me, if i'm in the other room he follows, he even sits watch by the shower when I'm taking one lmao. He is never outside sight's range, and knows when I'm having an anxiety attack, and keeps me calm, or as calm as he can. :) He is a wonderful cat. He is probably the only cat who would miss his "mom" and come running as soon as he know's i'm home XD
