A while back someone posted a picture of a mosaic vase and other items. I don't remember who it was  I have searched to no avail and haven't found them. Could whom ever posted the beautiful work they did, please re-post. I would love to see them again. Thanks very much ;)

It wasn't me but I have a mosaic mailbox that was made for me. Are you planning on doing some mosaics?

Wrennie, that is absolutely beautiful. I am giving it some thought. Is it hard to do? Did you use the stain glass or glass from plates, cups, etc.? What glue did you use. Silicone or Gorilla or some other type? Thanks for showing your beautiful work of art ;)

My friend Dianne made it. I'll have to aske her how she does it. She uses some sort of grouting material. I dont know but i think the glued on pieces she used liquid nails.
The cat & blue flowers are tiles. The little cats are glass. The brown is a terra cotta flower pot broken. Green is I think a shiny flower pot.

Wow Wrennie, that's pretty neat, and I may try to do something like that on my mailbox. Right now, I've got it stenciled with flowers and it looks O.K. Is it heavy? Do you know if this would hold up in winter with ice/snow/cold???

It is out there in the ice and snow right now. This is it's 2nd winter. Its heavy, not so bad but with all the tiles etc & grout its got some weight to it.

I guess it holds up to the elements!!! Looks like the area around our mailbox right now with all the snow we've had. We've had a hard time keeping it plowed out for the mail delivery this year.

Lovely mailbox. All my mosaics handle ice and snow just fine.
Kuntrygal, I had posted an orchid vase and a hollyhock plaque. Might that be it? I somehow don't see them in here anywhere.

Yes, I believe you are the winner :D I know there was a vase and not sure of the other item(s). I looked under garden junk, craft items, and your blogs. So where oh where could they be  When I began my search you were the first one I went to ;) Is there any way you can post them again? I would love, love, love to see them :p

    Thanks Bethie,
    Gaylyn

I like the mailbox. It makes going to the mailbox seem a little lovelier.

I made these hypertufa pieces but you could easily use a found object.

Bethie, thank you so much. I just marvel at their beauty and your wonderful talent. I am putting this email in a folder so I can go back and look at them again and again!

    Thanks,
    Gaylyn ;)
